Taylor Morris Tour

with Harvey Nichols

Hugo Taylor & Charlie Morris

This month, the Taylor Morris team embarked on a nationwide tour to launch our new Atlas collection in store at Harvey Nichols’ throughout the country. Opting to take this tour on the road, our friends at Mini helped make the drive that much more enjoyable, by loaning us two Mini ‘Countryman’ to take us from our office doorstep in London to our first stop; Edinburgh. Well not quite all the team, Charlie chose to fly later in the day, making it just minutes after Hugo’s arrival (a nine hour drive). Reunited and after a light midnight snack, we all retreated for our first night’s stay at the seafront Malmaison hotel.

After discovering the Malmaison breakfast buffet, a morning moment we’d come to miss by the end of our trip, we set out (on foot this time) to explore the capital. Our first stop was Harvey Nichols Edinburgh, where we greeted the teams and met our first university ambassadors. After introducing the new collection in store, we were taken on a tour of the city by the new additions to the Taylor Morris team; Morgan & Zoe.

The sun shining on us, Hugo eagerly unwrapped his new Olympus Pen (emphasis on ‘his’) as we explored Edinburgh Castle and paused for an impromptu photo shoot with the capital as our background. Having worked up quite an appetite, we followed the cobbled streets back down to Harvey Nichols to enjoy lunch with local press & bloggers on the 4th floor.

Next stop; Leeds.

After the five hour drive to Leeds, via Jedburgh Abbey & the England-Scotland border, we arrived at Malmaison in time to freshen up and explore our local dining options. After discovering the delicious, and somewhat ridiculous, Bibi’s, we wandered back to the hotel for some shut eye before our second day on tour.

Waking in Leeds, we started the day by heading to Harvey Nichols to greet our local university ambassadors Ruth & Ollie to introduce them to the new Atlas collection and treat them to lunch at the Fourth Floor Café.

In the evening, we all dressed up for a press & influencer dinner at The Craft House courtesy of our friends D&D London. A delicious menu prepared by head chef Lee Murdoch was enjoyed alongside a mid-meal Royal Salute toast, conducted by non-other than our managing director Nicholas.

Post-dinner we made our way up to Anjelica’s for a night of negronis, dancing and unsurprisingly a few misplaced Malmaison key cards.

After some well-deserved rest, we hit the road again to Manchester in the Mini ‘Countryman’, Hugo proving to be a great co-pilot with excellent DJ skills, Charlie not such great company, snoozing all the way.

Arriving at Malmaison Manchester, we checked in and with a quick turnaround headed to Harvey Nichols for a delicious dinner on the 5th floor to meet local press and influencers. The effects of Anjelica still lingering, we headed back to the hotel to rest before our last day on the road.

Friday came and back on the road we went with the Harvey Nichols Beauty Bazaar in Liverpool as our final destination. After meeting the staff and a few press appointments, the (rather tired) team split in to two for the drive back to London. But before this, a tour photo was imperative.
